Over recent months there has been a rapid increase in websites, that contain large amounts of advertising and pop-ups with minimal content. We have made the decision to re-organise our retro links section. Many old sites have been removed, and our current links have been re-listed with a new rating system.
Each link will be listed with a bracket tag, looking like this; (clear) or (pop/banner). To keep the integrity of our links intact, we have chosen sites with minimal or no advertising.
Dan's 20th Century abandonware
Many of our recent links have taken you to retro artists websites, retro gaming, and etc. Now discover what software looked like back in the 1980's. Much of today's computer technology is based on Windows, however in the bad old days, it was DOS (disk operating system). Check out Dans abandonware website for hundreds of screen shots, and some downloads of how computing was back then.
2PR - Planet Retro strives to be one of the worlds leading retro websites. To keep this line of quality, the site is constantly updated. As the web is forever changing, websites come and go faster then we know. Therefore the link list is forever in check, making sure all links are working.
From time to time, you may pick the dead-link up before me. If this is the case, please let me know by e-mailing me, and title your e-mail "dead link". Upon receipt of your message, the link will be tested and updated.
REMEMBER WHEN - By Nigel - RATING 100%
(no adds - no banners - no pop-ups)
I found this site only weeks ago, and it seems to be loaded with info. If you are interested in hit-music from a British perspective, this is the place. Hosted by Nigel from Nottingham in the United Kingdom, this site contains literally hundreds of top 40 charts. Launched in January 1997, REMEMBER WHEN features a pop chart from this week in pop history. I don't know if they are genuine Top of the Pops charts, or if Nigel has created his own personal charts. Never the less an excellent site. So with no more to say, check it out! like me, you'll find yourself hooked.
His nostalgia chart section seems to be under construction, so I've set the links to go direct to his Remember When section.
